Canon EOS Discovery Days

Houston Camera Exchange and Canon have teamed up to bring EOS Discovery Days back to Houston. There are two class options for varying levels of camera experience.

Basic:

- Become familiar with the operation and features of your EOS camera, and discover how and when to control them for dramatic results

- Learn to expand your creative options, using different camera features and photographic techniques to evolve your pictures from snapshots to photographs

Intermediate:

- Discover many of the advanced features on your camera, and how they can be used for great pictures

- Learn creative techniques in composition, camera control, and flash

Classes will be held at the Houston Marriott Westchase from 7-10 p.m. on August 19 for the Basic class and August 20 for the Intermediate class.  Cost is $45.

HCE Canon EOS Discovery Days

Online Travel Photography Course

Creative Techs is offering a FREE 4-week digital photography course online. The course is taught by photographer John Greengo from the PBS series Art Wolfe’s Travels to the Edge. The course will start with an overview of the life of a travel photographer, followed by classes on your camera, technique and composition secrets.

The classes will be each week starting on Wednesday July 15th.  They will begin at 1 p.m. Houston time and run approximately 90 minutes. The class is only open to 1,000 people so hop to it if you want to participate.
